2015 age requirements

In the news .....

Little League International may officially change the player age > cut-off date from April 31st to December 31st. This means whatever age your player turns in that calendar year is the age they play at. Example; Tim turns 11 on July 20th, per the old (existing) rule he is playing age 10 and eligible to remain in the farm division, per the potential new rule he is playing age 11 and is eligible to move to the varsity division. The same is true for each division.

The Little League may officially change the player age of our Minors, Farm, and Varsity divisions .If your player had a birthday before December 31, 2013 he/she is eligible to move up to the next division. This rule has not been passed yet and if and when it does it will be for the 2015 season.

For the 2014 it is the parents deciseion if they want to move the child up to the next division. Please know that this is a decision you are making for your player and not the Lakewood Youth Baseball Association.

We will keep you updated on the progress of this potential new rule change and we will publish more information so that you can make the right decision for your player.
