Lake VBC U13-1: Welcome

Meet your 2015 Lake VBC Coaches!!!

Nikki Baehm: U13-1 Head Coach 

USAV CAP 1 Certified (2014), IMPACT Certified (2012), GMS (2013), Regional High Performance Coach (2013)

This will be Nikki's 3rd year on staff at Lake VBC.  She served last year as the U12-1’s Head Coach and as the U16-1’s Assistant Coach, achieving a first place finish in Flight 1 at the USAV Nationals in Minneapolis.  She has eight years of coaching experience at various levels and has seven years of playing experience, including her 4 years at Archbishop Murphy HS. She also has 2 years of club experience as a Libero at Mill Creek VB. She graduated from Washington State University in 2012 with a degree in Communications and a degree in English. She is currently in school to earn her Master’s in Teaching through USC.  Nikki puts her heart and soul into each one of her teams and loves watching the girls grow.  She is very excited for this season to start and can’t wait to finally get back on the court with her team.  Her goal is to help her girls develop the skills they will need as future players and to pass on her love of the game, but most importantly to see her girls grow into strong people.

 

Amalia Ruiz:  U13-1 Assistant Coach
Impact Certified

This is Amalia's 2nd year on staff with Lake VBC and 3rd year as the varsity setter for Monroe High School.  She has 5 years of club experience including U12-14 at Sudden Impact, and U15-16 at Lake VBC.  Amalia enjoys playing and coaching volleyball and is looking forward to a very positive and successful season.

Amanda Hartman:  U13-1 Assistant Coach
Impact Certified

This will be Amanda’s 1st year with Lake VBC, having recently moved north from Shoreline with her family she has found her new volleyball family here at Lake.  This will be her 3rd year coaching club volleyball, and 4th year as a club parent.  Amanda grew up playing volleyball in the Great Lakes region (Chicago) as a MB and RS, through high school, including 4 years of club and played 1 year in college, before deciding to relocate to the Seattle area.  She continues to play on co-ed league teams when time allows, including a summer grass league with her husband.
