Friends of the Program

Needless to say, volleyball is a very expensive sport. Dues, lessons, clothing, equipment, and travel. It all adds up. Some families spend upwards of $8K per year in the hopes of getting that college scholarship that will make it all worthwhile. Others participate in our many fund raising opportunities or apply for much appreciated scholarships and work-to-play positions. Oregon Juniors Volleyball Academy, a 501(c)(3) non-profit entity, is seeking corporate or other donations to meet the needs of its 150 and growing youth members. Contributions to are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

All donations are applied directly to the benefit of our kids. Our goal is to not only become the #1 club in the CEVA Region, but to also ensure that every young woman who wants to, will have an opportunity to learn/play the game, and once they become members, we will do everything we can to ensure that their high school careers are successful, and that they are well prepared for the rigors of college.

A club of this stature becomes a primary target for top college recruitment efforts and increases the chances of many more young women having the opportunity to go to colleges they may have only dreamed about. OJVA seeks to develop a disciplined and strong work ethic in our athletes. Along with intensive drills and physical training, our youth gain an appreciation for the commitment that is required to achieve excellence. This daily focus and rigorous approach, we believe, develops mature and committed individuals destined to prosper in their future endeavors.

It’s no coincidence that our coaching staff possesses excellent relationships with some of the top college recruiters in the nation. Our coaches are on the phone to college coaches almost every day. Most of the conversations are based on mutual friendship and trust. They talk about our players, our techniques and training methods, as well as academics and total player development.

Your sponsorship will help us to continue to attract and retain the superior level of coaches needed to reach our goal of providing collegiate exposure and opportunities for our athletes. OJ'S also provides scholarships to our clinics, camps, and club experiences for those qualified individuals and families that cannot afford all of the fees. Sponsorships will assist us in enabling athletes to pursue the Oregon juniors and Lakeside experience even though they may have limited financial means.

Finally, your help will also allow us to purchase the necessary equipment and supplies to ensure that the dreams of our kids may come true. Each week, our six court state-of-the-art facility hosts upwards of 1,000 people who regularly come to watch tournaments, practices, and training events. Your sponsorship will be visible to all of the individuals who visit the The COURTS. This web-site also reaches thousands more (we had 36,000 hits in 2005-2006) who regularly visit to keep updated on the volleyball scene.
