WELCOME to Lakeside High School Baseball. Lakeside High School is located in DeKalb County at 3801 Briarcliff Road, N.E., Atlanta, GA 30345.
Region 6-AAAA
The Lakeside Vikings play in Georgia High School Association Region 6-AAAA. This Region was realigned for 2010-12. In addition to Lakeside, this 12-team region includes DeKalb County schools Chamblee, Dunwoody, Lithonia, Miller Grove, Redan, Southwest DeKalb, and Tucker; City of Atlanta schools Carver, Douglass, and Mays; and private school Marist.
High School Coaching Staff
The Lakeside Vikings baseball program is led by Varsity Head Coach Bill Newsome, who will be in his 25th year of coaching and teaching in DeKalb County in 2011-12. Coach Newsome has been the Head Varsity Coach at Lakeside since 2004. In 2008, Coach Newsome was honored as "Coach of the Year" by the DeKalb Dugout Club.

Lakeside captured the Georgia Dugout Tournament Championship in 2006, and the team won its tournament pool in 1983, 2002, and 2003.
Lakeside has 28 players from the last 10 graduating classes who went on to play college or professional baseball, including 5 seniors from the 2010 Vikings squad.

Please check your forms before you leave your physician's office. This is a new GHSA/Dekalb County requirement, so your doctor's office may not know about it.
