Lakeshore Premier SC is about to enter its 4th year as a unique partnership involving the Muskegon Lakers, Fruitport Fire, and the Tri-Cities Strikers.
Each of the partner clubs have players for whom the Michigan State Premier Soccer League (MSPSL) represents the “next step” in their soccer development journey.
In seeking to satisfy this demand, the partners have formed this collaboration to develop players in a local club that's dedicated to fielding competitive teams in the MSPSL at a reasonable cost and traveling convenience for families.
Lakeshore Premier SC is an independent club, with an Executive Committee comprised of representatives from each of the partner clubs. It includes a board member from each club to insure it develops as intended.
Responsibility for Lakeshore Premier SC rests with this Executive Committee.
Lakeshore Premier SC teams are comprised of the best players who attend tryouts, regardless of where they reside. There are no spots on the roster "reserved" for the partner clubs. In fact, a number of players have come from clubs other than the partners.
We think such participation is healthy, and contributes to a more competitive and well-rounded team.
The Lakeshore Premier SC Director of Coaching (DOC) is Aaron Dean, Grand Haven High School Boys Varsity Soccer Coach and member of the Michigan State Youth Soccer Association Instructional Staff. He holds the USSF "C" license and has served as a DOC for more than a decade.
Lakeshore Premier SC begins forming teams at U12. Our U12 teams begin competition in the GVSA U13 Second Division. Our development model calls for this so players from different clubs can play together for a full season at 11v11 in preparation for going to the MSPSL the following season.
