Every player stepped up and played their heart out during the undefeated district tournament for the Lake Norman squad. The team is heading to Wilson, NC to play in the State Tournament starting on Saturday, July 11th.

Lake Norman’s 7/8 year-old All Star Team is comprised of some of the best players from the spring season recreational teams. The boys, coaches, and families have been putting in hard work almost daily in record heat. The ability of the team to come together in just a few short works of practice and tournament play has been amazing to watch.

The team has the most amazing group of coaches who dedicate their time to organize and teach this outstanding group of youngsters. Head coach, Jeff Sheets, has coached the Lake Norman All Star Team for the past three years and his teams seem to get better every year.

Lake Norman will be competing against the other six North Carolina district champs and runner-ups for the state title. The teams will play multiple games Saturday and Sunday, July 11th and 12th, in the hopes of advancing to the single elimination finals that week in pursuit of their first ever State Championship.
