The 28th Annual Holloway Bass Tournament Is In The Books
On Sunday, May 27, 2007 the Lake Nepessing Bass Club held its 28th. annual bass tournament on Holloway Reservoir. The weather wasn't great but it was a whole lot better then the weather man had predicted. 25 of the 34 teams brought fish to the scales. Sandy Hall and Fred Mosley had the most total weight with 11.18 pounds and took home the first place prize of $4000, even with today's gas prices that is not a bad days work. Douglas Eaton and Jeff Vanier came in second with a total of 10.37 pounds and received a check for $510. The team of Jerald Haddrill and James Clauser took third place honors with a total of 8.44 pounds and received a check for $408. The big fish of the tournament was caught by the team of Richard and Leon Lowery and they received the $400. big fish award. With the help of all our sponsors we were able to pay out a total of $6,924.50, that is %136 of the entry fees, I don't know of any open tournament that has a better pay out. If you would, take a few minutes and go to our sponsor page and take a look at the list of sponsors we have and support them, after all without them there wouldn't be a Holloway tournament with almost $7000 in prize money. We hope everyone had a great time and we are looking forward to seeing all of you back again next year.
