LAKE MARY LITTLE LEAGUE

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

·        WHO RUNS LAKE MARY LITTLE LEAGUE?

Lake Mary Little League is an all-volunteer organization.  All Board Members, managers, coaches, umpires and any other person, which you may come in contact with, is giving their time for the benefit of children and young adults who want to play baseball and softball.  We are always looking for volunteers in various areas.  Please feel free to contact the league if you are willing to offer a little bit of your time – no matter how small.

·        WHAT IS THE COST OF REGISTRATION?

Tee Ball and Coach Pitch Division                 $105.00

Minor and Major Division                             $115.00

Junior and Senior Division                              $115.00

·        WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY CHILD’S UNIFORM?

All players are furnished with a shirt, pants, socks and cap.  Parents need to supply shoes and a glove.  Individual bats are optional.  Equipment provided by the league includes batting helmets, bats, balls and catcher’s equipment.

·        HOW LONG WILL THE SEASON RUN?

The Spring 2013 Regular Season will begin on February 23rd and conclude on approximately May 18th.

·        HOW MANY GAMES WILL BE PLAYED?

Tee Ball and Coach Pitch teams will play 1 game per week.  Minors, Majors, Juniors and Seniors will play 2 games per week.

·        WHERE WILL THE GAMES BE PLAYED?

All games will be played at the Lake Mary Sports Complex on Rantoul Lane.

Softball, Major, Junior and Senior Division may have to inter league, this is determined by the number of teams we get in each division. This will involve some travel.

·        WHEN WILL I HEAR FROM THE TEAM MANAGER?

You can expect to hear from your manager and start practicing towards the end of January.

·        WHERE AND WHEN ARE PRACTICES?

The manager of each team finds the location and sets day(s) and time for practices.

·        WHO MUST ATTEND SKILLS ASSESSMENT?

All players League Age 9 thru 16 are required to attend a skills assessment.  PLAYERS MUST ATTEND

AT LEAST 1 SKILLS ASSESSMENT TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE DRAFT.
