2006 League MVP
Tony Stash was named 2006 MidStates Special Teams MVP.
Tony also recieved All-League Co-Punt Returner as well as Kick-Off Return.
Tony was also named to the Minor League Football News All American Team as a Defensive Back.
Tony was an asset to the Lake County Steelers, but due to work, he has relocated to Seattle Washington and is now a member of the Seattle Stallions of the NWFL.

The MidStates Football League let players and Fans vote for the All MidStates 5th Year Anniversary Team.
The following Lake County Steelers made the All MidStates Team:

Offense:

Linebacker..Raul Diaz
Tackle......Pache'Smith

BLACK LION AWARD
Nelson Robinson was chosen by the Coaching Staff to be the First Ever Semi-Pro Football player to recieve the Black Lion Award. This award is given to the player who shows team dedication and commitment to the sport. The Steelers will apply in 2004 for this award and hope to again be able to award it to one of our players. ALL-LEAGUE 2003
1st Team All Mid-States:
*OFFENSE*
Running back DeAngelo Horton: 5-7 190, DeAngelo led the MSFL in rushing as well as yards after first contact. DeAngelo consistently gained yards with his second effort.

Wide Receiver Tony Stash: 5-7 162, Tony averaged 22.15 yards per reception this past season. Whether it was a big catch, big tackle on defense and special teams Tony could be depended upon to make the big play.

Center Levi Hepp: 6-2 290, Levi is a mainstay on the All-League Offensive line, Levi was among the running for offensive player of the year his play was so critical to the turnaround the Steelers had this season.

Linebacker Jeff Maxfield: 6-3 245, Mad Max despite missing the Steelers first two games finished second on the team in tackles led the team in solo tackles and was one the best group of linebackers as the MSFL was the League of Linebackers.

Defensive Tackle Pache Smith: 6-0 290, Pache makes plays amazingly quick for his size.

EXECUTIVE OF THE YEAR
The Mid-States Football League announced that Bob Crowder has been named as the First recipent of the Howard Huntington Executive of the Year Award. Bob is currently the President of the Mid-States Football League and Owner/Head Coach of the Lake County Steelers. From the Players and the Coaches of the Steelers**Congradulations Bob, Keep up the Good work.**



All League 2002
Even though the Steelers finished with a disappointing season, the Steelers are represented this year with 2 Players making the MidStates All League Team. Center Levi "Big Dogg" Hepp anchored the Steelers and was named on the team as well as recent retiree Don Gambrel, who is now the Steeler Assistant Head Coach. Both Levi and Don were also selected last year. With the already big changes slated for 2003, we at Steeler Camp anticipate more players being selected next year. The players were selected by votes casted by the other teams, league players were not allowed to vote for their own teammates. GREAT JOB LEVI & DON.........REPRESENT.........

AFA All-STAR

On 3-22-2002 Lake County Steeler Center, Levi "Big Dog" Hepp, was named to the 2002 AFA all-Star team as a Honorable mention, Offensive Center. From the fans and fellow players way to go Levi.
