THE LOSS OF A FORMER STEELER PLAYER
It is with a heavy heart that we have to inform all our fans new and old as well as players present and past from the start of the Lake County Steelers, about the loss of a former player and one of the original Steelers. On Sunday September 21, 2008
Eriqu'e (HERC) Lowe
was shot and killed why working one of his many jobs. He was a real true friend to many and a guy who would step up and aid his fellow man, even if it meant some kind of lost to him self (slept, time, & even money if he could). We of the Steelers organization hope that everyone will keep him and his family in their prayers. HERC may GOD now give you the peace you have so deserved from him.

Name: Bobbie J. Crowder Jr.
Team: Lake County Steelers
How long have you been involved with minor league football?
9 years
Did you play in college?
No
What is it like doing Owning and coaching for your football team?
Its a lot of work at time by very rewarding to see the fun that some players are able to have because of what I'm doing.
What is you fondest memory of coaching football?
My fondest memory of football as a coach was when I coached kids in Pop Warner, and for a school project one of the boys picked me as the person he most looked up to.
Do you have a family?
Yes, I have a beautiful wife, 6 children and 4 wonderful grand kids.
What do you do for a living?
I'm retired now, so most of my time is spent trying to better the Steelers and making the MSFL one of the better football leagues.
What things do you like to do except being involved with The Steelers?
I like to fish when I get time to do so. I also like to hang out with my kids and grand kids and travel (Cruises with my wife).
What team(s) do you hate playing the most and why?
I won't get into which team(s) and why all I will say that there are two owners I have no respect for and never will.
What team(s) do you respect the most?
Now that I will answer, The Force (Howard Huntington, Jerry Grohn), Thunder (Terry Thomas), Indiana Mustangs (James Stamper), Detroit Seminoles, and 95% of the teams I have played against these past 9 years.
What is in the Steelers future, and what is the future of the MSFL?
I feel that the Lake County Steelers may finally be going in the right direction, we will see this year. And as for the MSFL I see some great things happening. We have had some growing pains but in the long run overcoming these problems will make the league only stronger.
Anything you would like to say to our readers?
Yes, I would like to say the only thing better for me, in the last 7 years of my life besides my marriage to my wife, two of my grand kids, and my retirement, is the fact that I have met a lot of great people that share the same love for this wonderful game of FOOTBALL as I do.
