The guys had another weekend series with the rival BR Astros with a break in between by playing the NOLA Privateers.
The Giants opened up against the Astros strong with 3 runs in the first and missed on putting the game away early leaving the bases loaded without scoring any more. Elvir took the hill and kept the hard hitting Astros from scoring. The G's hit the ball well and added another run and missed out on ac ouple more runs by solid deense with te Astros thowing out 2runners a t plate.
Joknin had a 2 inning saveto preservethe win. The Privateers were on the nightcapfor the Giants and the bats went to bed early for the ball club. NOLA hung on to win 5-3 with the Giants having the tying run at 2nd and the winning run at first.
Bracket play had the G-men matched up against the Astros.....again. The first three innings were a real pitchers dual between Jokenin and the Astros Alford. The first run came in the 4th with 2 outs the Astros scored on a base hit. After a couple of miscues and some well placed bunts the Astros moved on by defeating the Giants 6-1.
