There are four ways for you to improve your skills and become a better player.  1) Take the coaches course we offer at Southside on Sept. 8th, you will learn a lot of stuff that will help you to understand the game much better.  2)  Volunteer your time and become a coach, it is a lot of fun coaching a u-5 or u-8 team and very rewarding to see the kids improve. 3) Sign up at SSC this fall and play together as a team, most of the really good teams stay together and play soccer all year long.  I have talked to some of the coaches and they all told me the same.  After High School they play Fall Soccer, then they go to Indoor and then back to High School.  The key is that they play together and stay together.  If you choose to play on another team, travel or rec.,  you will stay in shape, but you play with other players and coaches and against your own team-mates.  4) Watch as much soccer as you can on TV, you can learn so much just by watching a game on television
