Redweik Girls: Local Track Stars
HCYA's Lanier Redweik wins the 1500-meter run Bantam Girls for the North West Flyer's Track Team.
Lanier won the Jr. Olympic Regional Track Meet held in Houston with a time of 5:29, and even beat the boys!
Kirsten Redweik's 4X800M Relay Team also won first place in the local meet.
Lanier and Kirsten will be running at the Jr. Olympic Finals in North Carolina at the end of July.

Emily Frazier is the Houston Chronicle's "Girl Athlete of the Week"
The HCYA Lady Warriors won the inaugural Southwest Christian Shootout over the weekend of Dec. 14 and 15, 2007.
In recognition for her outstanding play during the tournament, Emily Frazier was named tournament MVP.
The Houston Chronicle also noted her achievment and named Emily the "Girl Athlete of the Week" in it's December 17th edition. Please click on the headline above to read the article.
For the first time in HCYA's history, the Lady Warriors were also ranked by the Chronicle in the area's 4A/Other rankings!
