Welcome to the Lady Gators Gold fastpitch softball website!
The Lady Gators Gold fastpitch softball team was founded by Gary Fitzpatrick eight years ago dedicated to the development of girls committed to play college softball. The team under Gary's leadership has had huge sucess at the the Gold level for many years placing over sixty girls in college programs accross the United States during this time period. After playing in the ASA Gold Nationals in Oklahoma City this past summer, Gary decided to take some time off from coaching
The team manager is Eric Call, assistant manager for the past 2 years with the team. Eric is well respected in the coaching ranks not only in the State of Florida, but nationally as well. He has been coaching competitive baseball and softball for 25 years. Drafted as a pitcher by the Atlanta Braves and outfielder by the New York Yankees, his playing career was cut short by injury in 1981. His versatility as a player and knowledge of game strategy has allowed him to become one of the game's great teachers of fundamentals to all his players. He has taken five (5) teams to ASA Nationals finishing runner-up in 2003. His teams have also won two (2) NSA World Series titles.
