Lady Firebirds earn 5th Place Finish in 2011 AIA Girls Golf State Championship!

The Lady Firebirds, led by Jacquie LeMarr and Sarah Kaye, placed 5th in the AIA Girls Golf State Championship at Aguilla Golf Course in Phoenix.

The team had a solid performance against some stiff competition over the 2 day tournament.

Lady Firebirds earn victory against Westwood HS and Skyline HS

The Lady Firebirds once again played a solid match against Westwood HS and Skyline HS to earn another victory on the links. Led by Jacquie LeMarr and Sarah Kaye, the Firebirds played solid golf. In addition to their efforts, the three freshman (Hannah, Amy, and Alexa) all posted sub-50 rounds to contribute to the victory.

Jacquie LeMarr earns medalist honors as Lady Firebirds beat Westview HS

Jacquie LeMarr was the medalist in the Chaparral versus Westview match at Talking Stick Golf Club. Jacque shot a even par (36) while Sarah Kaye finished right behind her with a +1 over (37). The team score of 167 and was 34 strokes better than the competition and got the Lady Firebirds back on the winning track!

Lady Firebirds battle hard against Xavier Prep and Pinnacle HS

Although the Lady Firebirds came up short in the three team battle at Phoenix Country Club, the team put up a solid score against two of the best teams in the state. The ladies hope to use this match as a stepping stone to improve as the season hits the mid-point.

Lady Firebirds win big against Horizon Huskies!

Great win today for the Lady Firebirds against the Horizon Huskies.  We won by 20+ strokes!  Jacquie LeMarr was the low round medalist with a 35.  The Lady Firebirds also beat Hamilton this past Monday!

The girls play St. Mary's next Wednesday at their home course.  Cheer on Jacquie, Sarah, Yiwen, Alexa, Amy, and Hannah if you see them!

Lady Firebirds finish 2nd to Pinnacle HS and Hamilton HS

The Lady Firebirds played extremely well considering the stiff competition and the severe heat today in the Valley. The ladies finished 2nd to Pinnacle HS and topped Hamilton HS by nearly 10 strokes.

 Nice job today ladies....it was a hot day and you played well.....

Lady Firebirds defeat Desert Mtn HS Wolves in first match of the season

The Lady Firebirds defeated the Desert Mtn HS Wolves at Talking Stick Golf Club South - South to earn its first victory of the season. Led by Jacquie LeMarr's even par 35, the Lady Firebirds won by nearly 50 strokes.

Coach Jason Speirs is pleased to announce the 2011 Lady Firebirds that will compete in girls golf for Chaparral High School during the Fall Season:

Jacquie LeMarr (Senior), Sarah Kaye (Junior), Yiwen Li (Sophmore), Hannah Hiland (Freshman), Amy Downhill (Freshman), and Alexa Thorell (Freshman)

Course locations for match play will be posted as they come available.  The coach will let the players know ahead of time where the match is to be held.  Check with your player for more information.
Updated schedule changes will be noted as they come available.     Matches begin at 3:15pm
  
Matches are spectator events unless the hosting course decides otherwise. Spectators must adhere to the course dress codes and policies. If you chose to be a spectator, you must remain 30 yards away from the participants, stay on the cart paths, or in the rough if cart paths are not present, and not talk to the participants. Violation of these rules could result in the disqualification of the participant.
