2013 LA District 4 Safety Plan Status
Every local Little League is encouraged to develop and implement A Safety Awareness Plan each year. To check on the status of the leagues in our district, click on the following link, Choose LA in the State drop down and 04 in the District drop down. This page is updated every morning at about 3 am by Little League.
Our goal is to have 100% completion in this District! Congratulation to Bossier and Shreveport Little Leagues!
Role of the Parent in Little League
The parents of millions of Little Leagues combined with their children, league officials, umpires, managers, coaches, and countless volunteer agencies including sponsors, represent an imposing cross section of our world.
Parents must take the initiative to make the local program successful. Little League is not a club in which membership implies baby-sitting benefits and entertainment privileges. Practically speaking, Little League is an adult, volunteer work project constructed, supervised and assisted by parents who want to extend this benefit to their children.
The parent who shirks this responsibility cannot, in turn, expect others to assume the burden.

Concussion Awareness Training
By State Law, all Managers, Coaches and League Officers must complete annual concussion prevention and recognition prior to any practice or games! Parents are also highly encouraged to take the free training as well!
While this is not a Little League requirement, but a State Law, Little League encourages everyone to participate in this important training.
