Information:
As a non-profit program of the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Health, the Show-Me STATE GAMES began in 1985 as an Olympic style sports festival to inspire Missourians of all ages and skill levels to develop their physical abilities. Currently, nearly 40,000 athletes participate in more than 40 sports over 3 weekends of competition. Certain sports or certain age groups are limited to an individual weekend.
In 2007, ESPN listed the Show-Me STATE GAMES as one of the top 100 experiences that all sports fans must witness before they die and in 2003 the Show-Me STATE Games was deemed the biggest and best state games in the nation by Sports Illustrated.
