Lights were first installed at La Center Field. "Senior John Eagle was given an award by Ralph Fisher, sports editor of the Columbian, on behalf of the coaches of the Trico League. John was selected as a member of the Trico all star second team at the halfback position. Dan Fehr was given honorable mention end and was the most inspirational player award." The Columbian, November 30, 1951.
