It is that time of year to renew or begin your KVCA membership for the 2009 volleyball season! Before you fill out and return the membership form, let’s first reflect on some of the successes of the past year. In 2008, the KVCA:
1) Developed a new partnership with the American Volleyball Coaches Association;
2) Gave awards to deserving players and coaches from each region of the state;
3) Awarded our regional coaches and players of the year at the KHSAA State Tournament;
4) Held two highly attended coaching clinics; and
5) Publicized teams around the state through our Top 25 Poll and Top 5 Regional Polls.
If you are interested in KVCA Membership for 2009, check out the handouts below. Read the letter from the KVCA President to see all of the great reasons to join in 2009, and fill out the membership form to get signed up today!

The KVCA will host a summer coaches’ clinic on July 31, 2009 at Lexington Catholic High School, in conjunction with a KHSAA rules clinic and the Bluegrass State Games. Remember, playing in the Bluegrass State Games does NOT count against your limit of scrimmages, so this is a great opportunity to get your team playing opportunities, while gaining coaching education and attending your mandatory KHSAA rules clinic in the same weekend. KVCA Educational Clinic is FREE to members and you can register either on the enclosed membership form, or on-site. No pre-registration is necessary for the KHSAA rules clinic. HOWEVER, if you wish to participate also in the Bluegrass State Games, you must register with their organization on their Web site, www.bgsg.org. You may choose to attend one event or all three; participation at one is not contingent on participation in the other two.
