Kolping Tryout for U14's

Tryouts for the U14 Boys teams are scheduled for June 7th and 9th.  Please mark your calendars now.  The following was circulated by the club:

Kolping Soccer Club belongs to the Ohio South Youth Soccer Association, Ohio's major association for competitive youth soccer. Our teams participate in a variety of leagues such as: Cincinnati United Soccer League, Buckeye Premier Youth Soccer League, and Midwest Regional League. We are a nonprofit organization chartered to promote youth soccer in and around Cincinnati, Ohio.

Over the past few seasons the club has made many changes to deliver a quality program to our players. From this change, over the past year and a half we have tripled our team base with the help of implementing and offering a quality training program at an affordable cost to our parents and coaches. Our teams have been very successful in their leagues and in tournaments and with this success and growth, our club has been very noticeable by all surrounding areas and clubs. We continue to grow each season and expect our players to grow with us.

Kolping Soccer Club's philosophy is to develop players to be able to compete at the highest level of competition. Our professional coaches will instruct the proper technique needed to play at a higher level.

As the players' ball skills improve, we begin teaching tactics, starting with individual and small group tactics which eventually lead into more advanced team tactics. It is our hope that our players, because of their hard work and what they have learned from our program, will make O.D.P. teams, high school teams, and hopefully college, professional, or even national teams.

In society many times winning is seen as the only true measure of success. While winning is an important part, at KSC we use more than just winning to evaluate success. Playing quality soccer, technical performance, tactical awareness, improvement, teamwork, etc. are also important facets of success to the developing player. The pressure then is placed not just on the end result, but on the coach and the players to increase the team's and player's ability to perform well. We are concerned about creating a learning environment that develops a deep knowledge of the game where a player can succeed in all aspects of the game.

Thank you for your interest in the Kolping Soccer Club. The intention of this Club is to develop, promote, and administer a fair and open soccer experience for both girls and boys from the ages of 6-7 in our Youth Development Program and 8 -19 years for our Select and Premier play. The goal of the Kolping Soccer Club is to provide a competitive youth soccer environment, whereby each participant can enjoy a fun, positive experience, while learning and playing soccer on a select CUSL team or Buckeye Premier Team.
