We are the KNIGHTDALE KNIGHTS from Knightdale, North Carolina. The KNIGHTS are made up of football players and cheerleaders, ages 6 thru 12, and are members of the East Wake Football League. This is a youth football league and not affiliated with pop warner. The Knightdale Football Association (KFA) is a parent run, non-profit organization run by a dedicated Board of Directors. We have 3 football teams and 3 cheerleading squads (Mini Mites, Mighty Mites and Peewees) who compete against 17 other teams in our League, which are divided into two Divisions (North and South). We also have a Flag Football Team. In 2006 all three teams had first place finishes in the Central Conference. The mini's brought home the Gold in the Superbowl for several years in a row. Our Might Mites have won the SuperBowl in 2008 & 2009. Our Mini Mite Cheerleaders won first place in the 2009 Cheer Competition. WAY TO GO KNIGHTS!!!

General Game Information
All games are played on Saturdays. If a game cannot be played on Saturday due to inclement weather, it will be made up the next day, Sunday, at 2:00. The mini mites play four 8-minute quarters and the miteys and peewees play four 10-minute quarters. The mini mites may play an extra 5th quarter before the start of their game with the 6 year olds and first year players that are 7. Both head coaches must agree on whether or not to play a 5th quarter.
Mini Mite games begin at 4:30 p.m. The fifth quarter (if played) will begin at 4:00. The head coach will determine what time the team needs to be at the field. The Mitey Mite game starts immediately after the completion of the Mini Mite game and the Peewees start immediately after the completion of the Mitey Mite game. Weigh in takes place 30 minutes prior to the start of the game. Be on time to weigh in! A child will only be allowed to play at the discretion of BOTH coaches if they are late to weigh in. Any player who is over the weight limit will NOT be allowed to play. If a child arrives after the game starts they will not be allowed to play.
A player may weigh with only a jersey and shorts, also a player close to the weight limit may weigh-in with the team playing before them. (this is so the kid will have time to get fluids and food in him) **example: A peewee player may weigh in at the same time of the mighty mites, if he does not make weight he may try again during the regular weigh in.
