Rained-out Again !

For the third straight time this Spring, the Freedom won their first two games of a tournment, positioning themselves for a spot in the finals, only to have mother nature rain on their parade and ultimately force the cancellation of the tournament.  The Freedom beat the Mount Laurel Force 3-2, then GAK Thunder 1-0 on Saturday in rain soaked Mercer County Park, but the inclement weather forced tournament officials to cancel the Sunday matches.

Earlier this Spring the Freedom went 2-0 in the WAGS tournament beating LMVSC 4-2 and FC Frederick Premier 2-0.  Then followed with a strong start in the MSSL College Showcase by winning their first two games against Warren County United Blue and New England Aztec White Flame, before losing to Empire United.  The Freedom was leading the in standings for their Division both times heading into the last game of the preliminary rounds, only to have heavy rains and poor field conditions force cancellation of the remainder of each tournament.
