Noull Back From The Brink
Noull were 1-0 down at half time to a disputed efforted thatwas claimed not to have been over the line as a deflected shoy cnnoned back off the crossbar, but the referee awarded the score despite the home protests. Stevie McAllister restored equality with a quite superb curling effort that crept inside the left hand post. Fraser McKinlay was then shown a very harsh straight red card for a high challenge on the Penicuik full back, leaving Kinnoull with an uphill task but we took the game to Penicuik and werE unlucky on a number of occasions. But a disastrous goal kick led to a corner kick for Penicuik and Johnny Harvey netted with a near post header. Duncan Bruce kept Kinnoull in a game with a string of saves as Noull went to three at the back, before substitute Gary Sweeney netted with a great strike after a fine move in the final minute for a deserved leveller.
