PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARDS PRESENTATION NIGHT

On Saturday 14th June in the Kinnoull Junior FC Social Club, President Chris Jones announced that goalkeeper Duncan Bruce was the Player of the Year for 2007/2008. Stuart Nicol was named as the Players Player of the Year by team Captain Sandy Ross with further awards being presented to Robbie Holden as top goalscorer and Tommy Todd as Clubman of the Year. A special mention to Tommy Todd who is to 'retire' from his position as Physio and 'Bag Man' with the Club at the end of the past season after over ten years rubbing down (and up!) the Kinnoull players

Anyone wishing to take up a position as Kinnoull  Bag man/Physio is asked to contact the Club. You can contact me by e-mail (charlie@grieve46.wanadoo.co.uk) or on 01738 446747 or contact club secretary Graeme Chalmers on 01738 630326.

Many Thanks for the excellent turn-out of Kinnoull JFC Players & Committee at the Parlour Derby on Saturday 1st June, shame that more of the Social Club members did not honour the team with their presence.

The night was a relative success and those who were there all seemed to enjoy themselves and it all made for a good evenings entertainment.

 ***************************************************************

Kinnoull have now completed our League and Cup fixtures. Our final match of the season was an extremely disappointing performance in going down 3-0 to Hill of Beath in the Redwood Leisure Cup when three early goals saw us lose the match inside the first half hour.

Kinnoull lost yet another home league match when we could not get the better of Penicuik at Tulloch Park. The match though, did not lack excitement with five goals, a penalty save and an ordering off. Kinnoull equalised twice with goals from Mark Gordon and Dave Quinn but only got as close as hitting a post in the last minute to getting a third equaliser. Duncan Bruce had earlier saved a penalty and Penicuik played the last half an hour with ten men after an off the ball incident.

Kinnoull finally broke our home League victory duck for 2008 on Wednesday 7th May with a fine 2-0 win over Montrose Roselea. A first half header from Robbie Holden was added to by a late goal from Stevie McManus to round off a deserved win against a dispirited Roselea after they were consigned to the drop last weekend.

Kinnoull once again followed up a fantastic away result with a poor home performance on Saturday 3rd May and lost 3-1 to Central League side Lochgelly Albert. Kinnoull did not really start playing until after we were 3-0 down and by then it was too late and the Fifers had done enough to deservedly reach the semi final of the Kingdom Kegs Cup.

Kinnoull beat Central League Leaders Ballingry Rovers 2-0 on Wednesday 30th April with a first half penalty from Stevie McManus and a second half goal from Jamie McKenzie, his first goal of the season.

Kinnoull lost two goals in the final two minutes to go down 3-1 to Musselburgh Athletic on Saturday 26th April. In fairness, Musselburgh probably deserved all three points but it is galling to lose to such late goals - and our disastrous home record continues.

Kinnoull lost 1-0 to Hill of Beath on Saturday 19th April, Martyn Thomson hitting the winning goal in the second half. Kinnoull had several chances to take the lead before this and should really have taken something from the game, but failure to convert chance against Super League opposition means another Cup exit.

You can separately sponsor his boots, shirt, shorts, socks - or the whole kit!
You get your name on the photo notice board as well as in each programme and on this website for all to see for a whole year!
Someone else might sponsor him first of course, and you would have to put up with sponsoring his shower partner instead!

The Club has produced a sponsorship brochure which shows the kind of sponsorships possible. See link at the top of the page.
