Play Ball

The baseball season is winding down. We enjoyed being a part of your league.

Play Ball has been hosting a poll on our site,
http://www.pulsejournal.com/playball
http://www.western-star.com/playball
but it's almost over!

Next week is the last week to cast your vote for your favorite team. Visit Play Ball before the contest is over on June 30.

The winning team will win a pizza party for its players, coaches, and parents--and the competition is stiff!

So dust off your cleats, adjust your cap, and point your browser to Play Ball. Your team could win.

Baseball Moms — We’ve got our eye on you. On Saturday, June 3, our Play Ball staff visits the Mason Youth Organization at Heritage Oak Park to recognize Baseball and Softball Moms.

We’re looking for mothers who cheer for their sluggers, rain or shine, who make sure uniforms are cleaned and that their favorite players make it to practice and games on time. If you’re a mom who also coaches, we want you, too. The Play Ball staff will photograph up to 50 mothers and include them in our first Baseball and Softball Moms gallery on our youth sports Web site at

www.pulsejournal.com/playball

This event isn't limited to the Mason league... WBA moms are welcome to stop by and have their picture taken, too!

Our writers and photographers from Play Ball — Your No. 1 source for scores, news and more about youth sports in Warren County — are looking for baseball and softball fans throughout June to include in our special Web-only photo galleries:

• Saturday, June 10, Grandparents and Brothers and Sisters, Lebanon

• Saturday, June 17, Dads, Little Miami

• Saturday, June 24, Dogs (and other pets that hang out with their families at the ball park. Mason/Kings
