Kingfish Water Polo: Kingfish News
Saturday, September 12Middle School Polo League Dates and Sites
Parents,
Thank you for your patience and cooperation while waiting for the schedule. I do not have exact game times yet. However, "no game will start before 12 and no game will end after 5." I do have the dates and locations though and they are as follows:
Weekend #1: September 20th
Primary Site: Governor Mifflin
Secondary Site: Muhlenberg
Weekend #2: September 27th
Primary Site: North Penn
Secondary Site: Muhlenberg
Weekend #3: October 10th OR October 11th
Primary Site: Pittsburgh (specific pool TBA)***
Weekend #4: October 18th
Primary Site: Souderton
Secondary Site: Governor Mifflin
Weekend #5: October 25th
Primary Site: North Penn
Secondary Site: Navy (MD)
Now... Primary sites are where games will be played unless there are a large number of teams for that weekend and 2 sites are needed. So Primary sites will be used first. Also, as for the Pittsburgh weekend. Details are still working out, however, as a league we would like to be able to take teams to Pittsburgh because they have been traveling east for a few years to play the other schools. We would love to be able to take teams out to Pittsburgh. If we do not have enough interest we can try to match our kids that are interested and able to go, with other schools that will be traveling out to Pittsburgh. If you have questions or concerns about this or any other part of the schedule, please let me know. I hope this is helpful.
Thank you again,
Justin Raffauf

Main Line League 12&U Make Up games
The coaches and staff of Kingfish Polo wish to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by our difficulties scheduling our 12 & Under Main Line League games. Our intent is always to provide as much playing opportunity for the athletes, and for reasons beyond our control, we have not been able to do this well thus far this season. We are continuing to work with the other coaches and AWP staff to reschedule and are considering all options presented. If these do not work, we may offer a 12 & Under tournament in this area in early summer to make up for this missed games, or work with individuals to find acceptable solutions. In all cases, we will keep you informed via email and website, and gladly accept comments and concerns via email.
We appreciate your patience and understanding while we address this matter, and also look forward to your participation in the Summer League coming up.

Kingfish Water Polo Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization!
It's Official, Kingfish Water Polo Foundation, Inc., is now officially recognized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
What exactly does this mean?
Any and all donations are legally tax deductible on your Income Tax Return.
The 501 (c) (3) designation will make us more attractive for both Business and Personal donations.
We are allowed apply for grants from various government programs
We are able to apply to other 501 (c) (3) Organizations and Foundations for grants
How does it effect you individually?
Kingfish will continue to operate as it has for the past 14 years. If the opportunities above avail themselves, we will look to grow the program, and our offerings, commensurate with the level of support received.
A portion of you Kingfish Membership will be Tax Deductible (may be as much as $35.00). Stay tuned for further details and clarification.
Many of you have been very generous this season, and will eventually be receiving a letter documenting your generosity as proof for your Tax Return. I need to make a few slight changes to our accounting program and ask for you patience in regards to receiving the Thank you letters. Our status as a 501 (c) (3) is retroactive back to January 1 of this year, so all of your donations are deductible.
If you have not had an opportunity to donate to the foundation, now is the perfect time. Not only will you be assisting us in achieving our goals, you now have the added comfort of knowing that your donation is going to an official nonprofit organization and that it can be deducted from your Income Tax.
I would like to thank everyone for their continued support and also take time to thank our many volunteers. We're off to another great start this year (although we have been indoors more than we would like - thank goodness we have the option), and I'm looking forward to the rest of the season. If anyone has any questions or any suggestions on how to take further advantage of our exciting new status, please contact me at 610-670-4743.
Best Regards,
Bernie Campbell
