Lane Werley traveled to the famed Woodward Park course in Fresno during October of 2010 and ran 14:54 for the 5K, breaking his own school record. For the State meet in November, he returned to the scene and under raining conditions, proceeded to make that mark seem slow in comparison. Blistering a consistent pace throughout the race and shadowing the leader, he crossed the mile at 4:39 and two miles at 9:29. His last mile was covered in 4:42 and he came across the finish in 14:46 and in third place. It was the 8th fastest time ever recorded on the oft-used Woodward Park course

A unique coincidence occured in that this race had a lead vehicle with a camera crew aboard, and in that Lane ran at the front the whole way, almost his entire race was video taped. Click here to watch the race.

Having established her credentials as one of King's best distance runners during her junior year of cross and track, Hanna has entered her senior year with State and National aspirations. The 2010 Clovis Invitational, on the famed Woodward Park course where she last ran her cross PR, was the setting and with a strong field to pull her, she took a conservative approach to the first half of the race and then steadfastly moved past those who went out too quickly. 10th at the mile, she would ultimately finish second, 13 seconds ahead of the time she set at the 2009 California State Championship.
