Answers to Frequently Asked Questions:
Q) When & where are the pratices?
A) We do not set your pratices. That is what the Parent/Coaches meeting is for. You will meet the other parents on your team and discuss practice days, times and locations.
Q) Where are the games played?
A) All games are played in either East Mesa or East Gilbert parks or schools. We do not know exact locations until we have received ALL registrations, so we know how many fields we need for each season.
Q) Does my child get a jersey?
A) YES, all kids will get jerseys. For Soccer, you will need to purchase Shin Guards. For Football, you will need to purchase mouth pieces. We also sell mouth pieces at the games.
Q) My child and his/her friend want to be on the same team. Is that possible?
A) Absolutely! Just make sure to put their names in the "Friend Request" area of the registration form. You must also be sure to register early, as teams fill up quickly. If you register late, you might not be able to get on the team you want. So timing is VERY important.
Q) Can I ask to be on a team with a certian coach?
A) YES! Just put the name of the coach in the "COACH REQUEST" area of the registration form. Again, you need to register early to ensure that the team is not full. Our teams fill up fast. Registering early is VERY important!
Q) When is the deadline to register?
A) Although there are registration deadlines on the forms, we fill up fast and sometimes have to close registration before the listed deadline. We highly suggest if you want to get your child in, then you need to register and not wait till the last minute.
Q) Do you give refunds?
A) Sorry, there are NO refunds for ANY reason.
Q) How will you contact me about the Coaches Meeting and what team my child is on?
A) We will post the meeting date on the web site. Once we have held the coaches meeting, parents will be contacted by their coach to discuss practice days and times.
Q) I would like to coach my childs team. How do I do that?
A) Simple, just mark the box on the registration form that you will volunteer to coach the team. All coaches are parent volunteers.
Q) Can I bring in an entire team?
A) Yes, as long as everybody puts your name in the "Coach Request" area of the registration form and they get the registration form into us early enough, we can make sure your team stays together. The best way is to send us ALL the registrations in one envelope during the early stages of the registration.
Q) My child has never played sports before. Will that be a problem?
A) Not at all. Most kids start with Kids Zone Youth Sports. There is no pressure, just good old fashion FUN!
Q) Do you do team photos? When and where are they done?
A) Again, we make it easy for the parents. All team photography is done at the fields prior to the start of your game on a pre-set date. You don't have to worry about scheduling time to go to a different location for photos. We also hand out your teams photos at the fields once they are completed!
Q) How do I sign up?
A) There are 3 ways to sign up. 1) Mail in your signed registration form and payment to the address listed on the form. 2) Register here from our web site. Just go to the Registration link. 3) you can wait till our Walk In Registration, but we do fill up fast and may have some age groups closed by then, so it is important that you sign up EARLY!
