Kids on the Move 5K: Welcome

The Matapeake Elementary PTA will host its first annual "Kids on the Move 5K" encouraging community involvement as it promotes fitness and good health for all children. We strongly believe excercise should be a healthy and fun part of every child's life and are asking the community to participate in this special event.

Please join us on Saturday, October 24th, 2009, at the Matapeake Elementary School as we promote health and fitness in children with the hope it will contribute to a lifetime of physical activity and community involvement. We encourage all to participate either as a runner, walker, volunteer or sponsor! The Kids Fun Run will begin 8:00 a.m.! 

Pre-registration will end on October 10th. All participants registered by that date are guaranteed a free event t-shirt to wear the day of the race. Registration Fees: Adult: $25.00 / Teens: $15.00 (11-18) / Children: $10.00

Volunteers are essential in the success of any great event. They are vital in providing a safe, organized and fun race. Many are needed to help with set up, packet pickup, course monitors, aid stations, water distribution, parking, post race snacks, finishers medals and allother areas that make up the race.
