Burg Picks Up 2 Wins In Leading Conlin Baseball Into The Semi's!!!

| Walk Off Single In Game 1!!

Kevin Burg pitched a scoreless top of the 7th giving Conlin's a chance to end the game which was suspended from the night before. Kevin Hoffman led off the inning with a walk and moved to 2nd on a wild pitch and moved to 3rd on a ground out. Joe Midli stepped to the plate and laced a clean single up the middle for the game 1 victory. In game 2 Conlin baseball manager Pete Conlin decided to start Burg in game 2 and the strategy didn't look to good after Cherry Hill West jumped out to a 2-0 1st inning lead. Burg settled down and held CHW scoreless over the next two frames. In the top of the 4th Bill McCarthy legged out an infield single and then the flood gates opened as Conlin exploaded for 10 runs. Bob Gorski had a key 2 run double and McCarthy also had a 2 run single in leading the 10 run inning. McCarthy would make the score 11-2 in the top of the 5th with a majestic high towering home run to left center. Burg ran into trouble in the bottom of the 5th as the light was diminishing, he battled hard and managed to get out of the inning and the umpires ending the game. With the 11-6 victory Conlin's moves on to the Semi's to face the Bellmawr Tigers. Game 1 is friday with a start time of 6:30
