Meeting Minutes

March 19, 2008

 

Meeting called to order: Feb 19th at 7:00 pm by Kurt Self  

Attendance for Board of Directors: Teri Lewellen, Jodi Kvinsland, Scott Russell, Deanna Russell, Kurt Self, Bob Queenin, Shima Garrison, Glen George and Todd Davis

Non-Board Members:  Matt Michalke, Scott Lester, Amanda Walston, Rich Henry, Phyllis Whittington. 

February Meeting Minutes Approved 

Presidents Report: 

  • We have the $5000 for batting cage from Terry Lee, Glen George has a report to fill out.
  • 13th on State Grant list therefore funding for Field 1 should be approved.
  • Tryouts were discussed, went well.  

Treasurers Report: Via Todd Davis. See report – expenses and income discussed.   

Player Agent Report:  By Deanna Russell. Roster numbers were adjusted. Currently at 300 players. 

Auxillary Report:  Via Phyllis Whittington – Plans are in order and menu/$ were discussed. 

Old Business: 

  • Two KPLL Board positions needed filling. Scott Lester and Phyllis Whittington were elected.
  • Umpires were discussed; need to get umpires to sign-up.
  • We will continue to use Field #4 at Volunteer Park.
  • Charter modified to reflect actual team roster numbers. Discussed and passed.
  • Minors Softball has been added.
  • Challenger Division was shut down by the District for this year.
  • Team shirts were discussed.
  • Opening Day was discussed.
  • June KPLL Tournament discussed.
  • Managers approved by Board:
    • Dylan Petrovic, Eddie Bellautouie, Becky Hicks, Kip Miller, Jim Hyde.
  • Coach’s Approved by Board:
    • Tiffany Martinez, Rick Parks, Tony Pasin, Jim Archuleta, Todd Davis, Rich Henry, Andy Mattingly, Mike Richardson.
  • Motion was made to make Amanda Walston in charge of Fast Pitch Division Head. 2nd by Teri Lewellen, motion passed.
  • Field #1 Renovation Committee formed: Kurt Self, Bob Queenin, Glen George. 

Motion to Adjourn at 8:20pm by Phyllis Whittington; 2nd Glen George.

Meeting Adjourned 8:20pm.
