7 Jesus Velasquez III

Position: OF/P School: Mount Vernon Nazarene U. Profile: Jesus is entering his 2nd season with the Royals. In 2008 he was plagued with arm troubles that moved him into the DH role. In this role Jesus was the BA leader for the MVABL for several months, eventually finishing 4th overall for the league. He was 2nd on the team in total hits with 41, and led the Royals offense with 34 RBIs(MVABL 7th overall in 2008) and 11 2B's (MVABL 5th overall in 2008) providing several clutch hits when the Boys in Blue needed. The Royals hope his bat stays hot and continues to knock in the runners ahead of him.
