Kentwood 95 LCAHL: Welcome

Wednesday, November 4
The Kentwood Falcons 95 hosted a pair of LCAHL games this past weekend. Saturday was a re-match with the Motor City Machine. Unfortunately the Falcons were flat and lost to a team that they had handled easily on their home ice 8-4.
Sunday's game was against the Mount Clemens Wolves. The Wolves were, big, fast and played a very disciplined brand of hockey. The score was tied going into the 3rd period 0-0 and then things got interesting. The Falcons took leads of 1-0 and 2-0 late into the 3rd period. The Wolves were playing catch up and eventually scored 2 goals in the final few minutes to earn the 2-2 tie. It was a very well played game by both teams with only 5 penalties called total on both teams.
The team takes to the road again next weekend for re-matches with League Opponents Macomb Mavericks and the Mount Clemens Wolves.
The team record now stands at 13-9-1 after twenty three games for a winning percentage of .587 for the season and 6-3-1 (.650) in LCAHL Howe Division 3.
The Falcons will be facing off in the Midland Regional Silver Sticks Tournament in December. More information to follow.

Unfortunately Goalie Steven Wangler has been lost for the season with a knee injury. We wish for a speedy and full recovery to Steven with his surgery and rehab. If anyone knows of any 95 goalies that are looking for a home it looks as if the team will have to find a replacement for this season.
Please contact Coach Ross at lisahockey@comcast.net or call 616-956-9183 if interested.
