Looks like a great bunch of Kids this season.The coaches look very happy with the players who have came out to play for the Tigers.Best of wishes to all for the 2010 season. GO TIGERS!

I am a little offended by the statement that the Colts always seem to be in the number 1 spot. The rules haven't changed for the years that I have been associated with the league. Even in the 2008 guidelines it states that ties at the end of the regular season shall be broken by the following:
1. Head to head (in this case there was a three way tie between the Colts, Bears and Tigers D-Teams).
2. Point Differential (14 is the max amount - the Colts had 70, the Bears had 63 and the Tigers had 61)
Thus the order was:
1. Colts
2. Bears
3. Tigers
The "Colts" don't change anything, it is the board of officers and the head coaches that make the changes, however, this rule hasn't changed since I have been with the Grid Kid organization in over 10 years. The Grid Kid site attaches the rules which I have receited above from the "2008" season, and the "2009" season says the same.

Its kind of interesting that the Colts seem to make it to spot 1 having the least points. Some how every year they change the point system. Grid Kids site says different and that is what the public sees.

Eagles Squad

This happens to be about my eleven year-old son who sufferes from a rare neurological brain disorder and undewent brain surgery on August 05, 2008. As a result he is no longer able to play football. Those that know Wayde know that he LOVES football. That was his existence. He gave 110% when he was out on the field and it is very unfortunate that his football career had to be cut short. To be told he could no longer play football turned his world upside down. At the age of eleven he has shown so much strength and courage and has never complained. The Eagles organization (Kennewick Grid Kids association) have given us so much love, strenghth, support and encouragement during wayde's recovery process. Despite the fact that Wayde can no longer physically be on the field playing football, they have made him just as much a part of the team as he was before. They are a true testament of the fact that there still is good in our community and there are so many good people out there willing to give back. The Eagles organization is not only teaching these young people the fundamentals of football but they are also instilling in then sportsmanship, community leadership, and the importance of team spirit and compassion. They have gone above and beyond any expectation and have touched our hearts in a way we will never forget. Wayde was so generously given an all expense paid trip to Chicago to watch the Chicago Bears play the Detroit Lions and stay at the home of Brian Urlacher and his family. This exemplies the positive impact professional athletes can have on a community and the positive impact they can make in a young child's life. All too often we hear and see the negative aspects of professional athletes and this is a case in point of a local professional athlete giving back to youth and to his community. I feel that this should be commended. This will be a memory that Wayde will cherish and remember the rest of his life. To say thank you, simply doesn't seem to be sufficient. THis couldnt come at a better time. Obviously Wayde has gone through a lot of physical pain but just as important, he has had to deal with the emotional aspect of how this has impacted his life and will impact his life in the years to come. Despite all the adversity Wayde has been through, he remains positive and we have a lot of people to thank for that and have been blessed to be surrounded by such a great community as the Eagles organization, loving family and friends and the generosity of the Kennewick Grid Kids Association. I think it is important for the community to see that an 11 year-old boy can have his dream of meeting his favorite team (Chicago Bears) and a football hero (Brian Urlacher) come true through such an amazing outpouring of generosity. Wayde may not be able to be on the football field, but this will be a memory he will carry with him for the rest of his life. I thank the Eagle's Organization, all the coaches, the players, parents and The Urlacher's for making this all possible and feel they are deserving of the praise of being the true hero's and for fulfilling a young boys dream. I would love to be able to publicly give thanks to such a great organization and make the community aware that there is so much more than just football that is being taught to these young athletes. I can't personally thank every person involved, but our lives have truly been enriched through all of your kindess, generosity and support. The extrodinary gift is truly appreciated and will forever be cherished. Thank each and every one of you! Jennifer, Wayde and T.J. Morris
