Introduction
Lacrosse is a fast, safe, and exciting sport for boys and girls, 4 years and older. As a game, it is unparalleled in developing skill, speed, intelligence, fitness, endurance, and dexterity.
The season runs from April to June, and into July for those players interested in provincial playoffs. Our games are held mostly indoors in the arenas. We practice outdoors in lacrosse boxes.
Since 1985, lacrosse has been very active in Kelowna and the surrounding areas. The association is dedicated to the promotion of this sport for the benefit and safety of lacrosse enthusiasts of all ages. We play in a Valley-wide league with Vernon/Armstrong, Penticton, Salmon Arm, and Kamloops.
Lacrosse in British Columbia is over 100 years old. Our association, which is one of 31 in the province, is the 6th largest and growing. In 1997 and 1998, we were awarded "Association of the Year" by the BC Lacrosse Association.
Lacrosse is affordable, fun to play, and exciting to watch! To register for the 2008 Box Lacrosse Season please see "Registration" section.
