KC White Sox - Class of '03 &'04
The 2nd group of Sox is following in the 'originals' footsteps!! The team qualified for ASA Nationals in '97 & '99. The '97 squad went 2-0 in pool play winning close games against the Hawaii Pearls & Texas Babes. Bracket play proved to be tough as well with the Running Rebels(CA) beating us in the 1st round 6-4. The Sox rebounded against the Katz(KS) with an extra inning victory but were knocked out by the Batbusters(CA) 6-3. We ended up T-33rd in our 1st trip to "The Dance"!
The '99 squad would qualify for ASA Nationals by going undefeated in a rain shortened qualifier in Arkansas (where we spread the Lil Saints(OK) 9-0 .. they're a really solid team it was just our night). We went on to Texas to go 1-1 in pool play getting beat 5-0 by the Lil Saints (AZ) and spreading the Magic(WA). The Sox then drew the USA Athletics(CA) and won a hard fought ball game 2-0 (The A's came way back through the losers bracket to finish 9th). We advanced to play the always tough Olathe Rockets from our talented metro area and pulled out a 7-6 win. The Hot Shots(AZ) were next in the winners bracket and we got smoked. The girls rebounded in a big way pulling out a 1-0 win over the Lil Cats(AZ) before finally getting beat 3-1 by the Comets(GA) whom we had down 1-0 in the 6th !! The '99 Sox ended up T-25th and look to improve on that this season !!

Sox are '06 18A KC Metro Champs!
The KC White Sox are the 2006 KC Metro Champs and have earned a spot in the 2006 ASA National Championships in Owensboro KY. The Sox started the weekend winning the first two games. Then after a lengthy rain delay and some spectacular grounds keeping won the third on Saturday seeding them 1st in their pool setting up a winners bracket championship with the Fusion. On Sunday the Sox and Fusion hooked up for the first of three games. The Sox lost the first one 1-0 moving them into the losers bracket. After beating the Blue Springs Force 3-2 the Sox met the Fusion for the first championship game. The Sox started out slow spotting the Fusion a 4-1 lead, but we came back strong. With some clutch hitting the Sox scratched out a 5-4 win forcing the "if" game. In the "if" game, the Sox weren't going to be denied they had momentum and beat the always tough Fusion 4-0. Congratulations Sox on a great weekend of softball!
