Thanks!
The KC White Sox want to thank all of the young ladies for coming out to our try-outs. It was a real scorcher but you hung in there and fought through the 100+ degree days. It was a real difficult decision but most of the parts are in place for the 2008 KC White Sox. In addition to our 8 returners, we are adding Taylor Nelson from Park Hill, Bria Taylor and Jocelyn Price from Blue Springs, Kasey Egelston from Blue Springs South, Ashley Wilson from Ft. Osage and Amanda Jacobs from Liberty. Congratulations ladies, we're looking for big things from you this Fall and next season.

The Sox qualified for ASA Nationals by winning 8 straight games in the losers bracket at the Region 12 Championships this past weekend. The Sox bounced back from a 7-0 thrashing in the 2nd round at the hands of the Missouri Madness. The Sox defeated the Nebraska Blazers 8-0 and the KC Impact 6-4 on Saturday night. The marathon began on Sunday with the Sox defeating the KC Invasion 7-1. The St Louis Marauders were next up for the Sox and the Sox won 5-1. The Sox not only had to battle through the losers bracket but had to overcome Mother Nature and a 3 hour rain delay after the rains stopped the White Sox picked up right where they left off knocking off the Nebraska Firestix in a tough 2-1 decision. The final of the losers bracket would be against the KC Pride. The Sox found themselves in a 2-0 hole before storming back to take a 5-2 victory and place in the 1st Championship game v.s. the KC Gems. The White Sox were not to be denied sweeping the Gems 3-1 & 6-1 in claiming the Championship and berth to Nationals in Clovis, CA on August 2-8. The Sox coaches are extremely proud of this group for the way they've battled through this rough season and finally achieved their ultimate team goal ... ASA Nationals. Way to go White Sox!! The Sox record stands at 41-19-1 after Regionals.
