JAGUARS HAVE STARTED PRACTICING AND ARE STILL LOOKING FOR PLAYERS FOR THE FOLLOWING TEAMS.

PRACTICE IS MONDAYS TUESDAY AND THURSDAY AT 6:30-8:00. AT RAYTOWN MIDDLE SCHOOL 4900 PITTMAN RD

Our very own Ricky Hicks Jr, former running back for the KC Jaguars is now officially a Bearcat. Ricky signed his letter of intent today to play for the Div II Northwest Missouri State University Bearcats in Maryville, MO. Ricky is the son of Coach Rick and Tina Hicks.

He played for the Jaguars his entire youth football career and fours years at Central HS where he was team captain all four years, two-time first-team all-district and all-conference selection, 2006 Interscholastic League MVP and Outstanding Offensive Player, Ricky carried 91 times for 748 yards and five touchdowns as a senior (8.22 ypc).

Ricky also partipated and excelled in track in school and with the Palestine Prowlers track club.

“Ricky had some Division-I possibilities and all of a sudden he was available. We happened to get on him quick and I think it was a perfect match both ways. He really liked what he saw here and we really liked what we saw in him. Besides being a very good running back, he’s an outstanding person with great character. He’s an excellent student and comes out of a school that has a lot of athletes. He’s the first young man we’ve gotten from Central since 1994 and I think that’s really important for us.”

THE JAGUARS are are a long standing members of the McClinton Midtown Sports Leadership League. The League is looking for additional teams for it's 2007 season. It's a new season and the Jaguars are looking for players. Ages 9-14 (no freshman) are welcome to sign up.

Returning players will receive information in the mail within the next 7-10 days. If you have moved, please notify us with your new address ASAP.

On 12/19/2006 some of the JAGUARS players receive an awesome Christmas gift.
The guys were able to hang out, eat dinner and then escorted on a shopping trip
to Dick's Sporting Goods by Brian Waters of the KC Chiefs and with some of his team mates. To read more on this event, go to the link below:

The end of the season has come and it’s time to show off what you’ve learned.

JAGUARS vs. HUSKIES

WHEN:         Saturday November 11, 2006
WHERE: Liberty Park (our home field)
GAME TIME: 1:00PM

Players will need to be at the field by 11:30am. Please be sure to bring a change of clothes, because all equipment will be collected immediately following the game.

To celebrate the end of our 2006 season the coaching staff will sponsor a pizza party and hand out trophies.

                                        TIME: 1:00PM-3:00PM
[GENERAL DIRECTIONS: Take I-70 East to Noland Rd Exit (Exit #12); turn left onto Noland Rd and travel 0.8 miles to Pizza Street which sits on the right hand side on the street.]

The KC Jaguars Org will cover the cost for players ONLY. Family and friends are welcome to attend, but will have pay for themselves. The cost is only $3.99 for the all-you-can eat pizza/pasta/salad/desert bar and $1.99 for a drink.

We will meet at the park on Monday August 28, 2006 at 6:00 and leave around 6:15 to head for the locker room. Equipment will be given out at this time only, no game uniforms.
