From past experience, Coach Mike understands that it takes a lot of hard work to become a good athlete and soccer player.  Coach Mike continues to work out and still has time for an occasional 5K race with his players and a triathlon throughout the year.   He expects to lead by example.  At the younger ages he will work primarily on proper technical skills:  shooting, dribbling, trapping, and passing.   Coach Mike is always willing to stay after practice to help a player develop their skill.  In the past, he has also setup times to work with players on an individual basis.   Most of his practices include fun games and competitions so that the girls have fun while learning.  (He believes there shouldn't be drills with long lines). The more time they have a ball at their feet, the better player they will become. 

Craig Gerfen
Coach Craig has ten years of coaching experience at different levels of play; including recreational, premier, and high school soccer.  He has an USSF "E" soccer coaching license.   He coached soccer for Turner High School last year and he is the head coach for both the girls and boys team at Piper High School this year.  Craig was voted as KCK Preps Soccer Coach of the Year this fall.  For the full article go to http://www.kckpreps.com/    Since Coach Craig has experience playing goalie, he also specializes in goalie training.  The players get more one on one training and coaching tips with two experienced coaches.
