Little Sluggers

Kennesaw Baseball Association is happy to announce the beginning of our Little Sluggers League for 3 year old boys and girls. The goal of the league is to begin to introduce the game to our youngest ball players and will focus on teaching the skills of hitting, catching and throwing in a non-competitive atmosphere. The games will be on Saturday afternoons only on Field 1 and be played over the 8 active weeks of the normal KBA season. Games will last 60 minutes. Players will receive a baseball cap and shirt, similar to those used in the older leagues. You might be wondering what "non-competitive" means. Well, no wins, no loses, and no score. The goal is to create an atmosphere strictly on teaching the game and allowing the players their first chance of being on a team. Rules will be similar to those used in our T-ball league except players will hit directly from a tee, advancing one base at time. As with all KBA leagues, volunteers will be needed to help teach the players and lead the teams. If you are interested, please volunteer through registration. Everyone who steps on the field must pass the CI card requirements. Board members and experienced coaches will assist Little Slugger coaches so its a great opportunity for those who have never coached before. The registration fee for the Little Sluggers league will be $40 for city-residents and $75 for non-city residents. Registration is open now and will remain open through February 1st. Click here to register.
