Katy Pony Baseball

- It's a whole NEW Ballgame!

Welcome. Our organization is celebrating its 29th year as Katy's finest youth baseball program. We are a registered non-profit organization dedicated to provide the best youth baseball experience possible.

Our players range in age from 4 to 17. We offer two types of league play -- Regular League is more recreational and is designed for individuals; Open League is more competitive and is designed for independent select teams.

Registration is held in December/January for the Spring season and July/August for the Fall season. Please take a few minutes to look around our website for more information, or feel free to contact one of our volunteer board members ... we look forward to seeing you at the fields!

For tournament or facility questions, please email Harold Bennett, hbenkaty@aol.com
For team parent questions, please email katyponybaseball@yahoo.com
For general questions, please email playball@katyponybaseball.org
For updated field information, call the RAINOUT LINE at 281-394-8107

Division Directors should be contacted first for information pertaining to your division.  Refer to the Board section of this website for contact info.  Thanks!

We also offer a separate Open League for select or tournament teams.

Player Costs -- $130 for Shetland 4/5 (T-Ball) players. $150 for Shetland 6 (T-Ball) players. $160 per player for Pinto through Colt (ages 7-17).  A $10 multi-player discount for each additional family member (same household) will be applied.

Payment -- Online registration payment is by major credit and debit cards only. Walk-in registration is cash or check only.

League Age -- Players are assigned to a division based on their age as of April 30, 2017. A League Age Chart can be found on our website under the Registration menu. Requests to "play-up" one age division may be granted for special circumstances, subject to league approval at tryouts. Play-up requests must be handled at walk-in registration; you cannot register online if you want to request to play-up one age group.

Key Dates -- Register by January 22.  Tryouts are held for ages 6 and above to help ensure teams are competitively balanced. Tryouts for Ages 7-14 are January 28 and tryouts for Shetland-6 T-ball (Age 6) and Colt (Ages 15-17) are February 4.  There are no tryouts for Shetland 4/5 T-Ball.  All players will be assigned to a team whether or not they attend tryouts.  All players should be contacted by February 15.  Games begin March 20.  Age divisions fill up quickly ... please register early to avoid being placed on a wait list.

Late Registration -- We accept late registration, but late sign-ups may be charged a $25 late fee and you may be placed on a wait list.  Late registration will be available at our facilities (Four Seasons Park).  Call the office (281-371-0887) for more information.

Practices / Games -- Practice schedules are determined by each team. Games begin March 20. Most teams will play one game on a week night and one game on Saturdays. A double-elimination post season tournament is planned for most teams, weather permitting.

Other Details -- Players receive a team jersey and baseball cap. Each player receives raffle tickets to sell -- you keep the money to help offset your cost -- or submit in your name if you choose not to sell. Teams will distribute raffle tickets. You get to watch and enjoy the games ... parents are not required to maintain fields, umpire games or sell food items. Experience the difference!
