In Memory Of
Jimmy "Smitty" Smith
Longtime Equipment Manager Jimmy "Smitty" Smith passed away yesterday(Dec.3). He had just left after visiting the kids and was looking forward to Friday night. He has been around Wonder Football as far back as I can remember. Wherever you saw that Green and White, Smitty was there.
He was a very big part of Wonder Football and will always be. He thought the world of the kids and they felt the same way about him.
Please keep his family, friends, coaches, and the kids in your prayers.
He will be greatly missed! He was one of a kind!
Memorials may be made to the A.L. Brown Athletics Fund, 415 E. First St., Kannapolis, NC 28083.
Message from K63
I just want to say THANKS to everyone involved with WONDER Football for an incredible 2008 season.
Seniors, and we have quite a few on this 2008 squad, you will certainly be missed. You accomplished something that hasn't been done since 1997, and that's to play in a Championship Game. You played your hearts out and no one can ask for more. So take this experience and use it to benefit yourself and others. Take what life has to offer and learn from it. I wish you all the best that life has to offer. You have given us all some great memories! Thanks to you, WONDER TRADITION is alive and well. You will always be WONDERS!!!!
May GOD Bless You All!!!
Take Care,
Lane aka K63
BTW, Seniors, if you are going to continue to play sports at the college level, PLEASE let me know so I can add your name to the "Where are they now" page.
Send your name, school, and sport that you will be playing, to kannapolisfootball@carolina.rr.com
The fans and I would like to keep up with you!!!!!
