INFORMATION WANTED AND NEEDED!!!!!
BTW, anyone having credible information on the Coaches, Teams, or anything having to do with Kannapolis Football or the other sports covered, Please let me know. I would especially like to hear from the coaches themselves about upcoming events such as scrimmages, practices, etc., that would be of interest to all the WONDER fans.  Any information will be greatly appreciated. I will give you credit or just say a source, depending on what you want. I want to make this site a fan site, so if someone has some new information on anything concerning Kannapolis Football and etc., please let me know, so a lot of your fellow fans can be in on it.
If someone has a score or knows of someone who is doing pretty well in their sport, please e-mail me and I'll put it on here. That includes all sports.

Also, if someone has a legit poll or survey idea and would like to see what other fans think. Let me know and I will put it up.

This is my last update on my health unless things get worse. My cancer continues in remission. It has been 14 months since I checked out of Wake Forest Baptist after my stem cell transplant for Mantle Cell Lymphoma, and 21 months since I was diagnosed  I just had my 5th of eight chemo treatments scheduled for the next two years  @ CMC-Northeast to help to keep the cancer from returning. I've also had additional CT scans and bloodwork to keep an eye out for any returning cancer. All this will continue for the foreseeable future.The doctors won't say what my chances are for beating this thing, but I've told them I'll do anything they ask of me. That's all I can do.

I want to thank everyone for their prayers and concern. They have meant so much to me during this very trying time in my life.

Just wanted to say THANKS to all the FANS and ALUMNI that I have heard from since I started this site about 11 years ago(in one form or another). I appreciate all the kind words about the website and I will try to keep it going as long as possible. I am glad it brings back many fond memories and lets you know what is happening in K-town today. Keep the e-mails coming. I really enjoyed reading them, and I will answer each one as best I can. They bring back many fond memories for myself also.

I have gotten e-mails from folks not only all across NC, but the Nation. I have heard from former players, teachers, trainers, pro coaches, you name it. People who are now in the military, salesmen, golf managers, and too many more occupations to name.  I have heard from Washington State, Arizona, Texas, California, New York, Michigan, Virginia, Tennessee, South Carolina, Florida, just to name a few. I am very happy the website is reaching so many.

Congrats to Alex Fesperman, Cole Harris, Daniel Sanchez and Davied Sanchez for placing 7th in the 200 Free Relay and 4th and receiving a medal, in the 200 Medley Relay. Cole Harris finished 7th in the 100 Backstroke and 8th in the 200 Individual Medley. Davied finished 2nd in the 100 Butterfly and is the new STATE CHAMPION in the 100 Backstroke. If you see any of these guys today, please tell them congrats! We couldn't be more proud of their accomplishments!

Wrestling

The Wonders wrestling team finished 5th out of 12 teams last Saturday at the Tigerland Classic. Avery Clinding and Patrice Donatien both won gold medals. Richard White and Tanner Sapp won silver medals, and Robert Smith and Kyle Cauble each won a bronze medal. Next up for the Wonders wrestling team is conference opponent Cox Mill tomorrow, Tuesday the 20th at 6:30 in the new gym. This is your last chance to see your Wonders wrestlers at home in conference action this season. Be sure to come out to support your Wonders wrestling team.

A.L. Brown wrestlers are 14-3 in dual meets this season.

Freshman Avery Clinding (106 pounds) is 23-2. Sophomore Richard White (113) is 25-5. Senior Patrice Donatien (138) is 23-4.

Senior Tanner Sapp (160) is 14-3. Senior Robert Smith (170) is 21-3. Junior Kyle Cauble is 23-7.




Indoor Track

Congratulations to the member of the indoor track team who qualified for the state championships yesterday. Samara Tisdale (Shot Put), Timmy Hall (500m), Talvanisha Lawing (55m Hurdles), Max Chandler, Johnny Hodge, Jose Navarette, and Timmy Hall in the 3200m Relay. There were many other great performers who were close to qualifying.

The new Health Alliance Building across from the Research Campus looks to be well on it's way toward completion.

The work on Loop Rd. next to Village Park. to create a predestrian tunnel and storm water drain continues with work set to be completed this Fall.



2011 June A.L. Brown school construction
Construction has been completed on the Biotech Building on the A.L. Brown Campus. The complete A.L. Brown  Building now goes from the Cyber Campus on one end to the Biotech Building on the other. That's a long walk!

Curb Motorsports Museum
Located on Dale Earnhardt Blvd., across from where Plant 4 used to be. Lot's of Nascar history located inside. You can see Richard Petty's #43, plus Dale's old #2 car through the window. Much, much more to see inside. A must see for the racing fan!
