Latest Game News

Varsity game 3.  Kahoks varsity defeated the Jerseyville Panthers Monday, 10 Nov. by 7 to 0.  This was a fast paced fairly physical game that probably should not have been so lopsided.  The Panthers played fairly well in the first 2 periods but seemed to run out of steam in the third period.  The lopsided score was due to the consistantly solid play by the entire Kahoks team.  The Kahoks had 6 seperate players score goals, Jason Sperry, Jared Drake, Mitch Reising, Kalib Carlyle, Cory Sperry, and Jacob Scrum.  Assists were by 8 seperate players.  The Kahoks had 32 shots on goal.  Senior goalie Caleb Nowicki recorded a solid performance stopping an impressive 19 shots by the Panthers.  Caleb put up a brick wall and gets his first shut out of the year.  This was really a team effort for this win.

Varsity game 2.  Kahoks varsity defeated the Granite City Warriors on 6 Nov. by 4 to 3.  Varsity record is now 2 wins and 0 loss.  The varsity game was a hard fought, hard hitting game.  There were 2 penalties by the warriors and 7 penalties by the Kahoks.  The Kahoks had 48 shots on goal and the warriors had 8 shots on goal.  Goals were scored by Christian Brussatti, Jason Sperry, Jacob Scrum, and Kalib Carlyle.  Assists were from Jason Sperry, Mitch Reising, and Kodee Keys.

Junior Varsity game 3.  The Kahoks Junior Varsity followed up with a win against the Granite City Warriors on 8 Nov., by 4 to 0.  This game was far less physical with very little hitting.  This was pure stick handling, passing and strategy.  Kalib Carlyle scored a hat trick and Nic Hager also scored a goal.  Assists were by Jacob Scrum, Zach Stenger, and Owen Reiser.  Also of note, 7th grade goalie Grant Goodson records his first shut out as a Kahok. Congratulations Grant.  The JV season record now stands at 1 win, 1 loss, 1 tie.
