=== WOULD YOU LIKE TO VOLUNTEER?? ============================
There are PLENTY of ways that volunteers can help Jericho Youth League
to succeed. In fact, it can't be done without you. This is a
volunteer-run organization and all of the following can only happen if
each of you helps in whatever way you can. Some activities require only
one day at the start of the season, others ask for an hour or two
throughout the season. Some require knowledge of baseball or softball,
many do not. Here are some of the ways you can volunteer:
Head Coach
Assistant Coach
Team Parent
Umpires
Snack Bar
Field Maintenance
Fundraising
Contact any member of the board if you are interested in helping out in any of these areas. Thanks!!

Frequently Asked Questions:
Who is eligible: Boys and Girls, age (see above) 5-12 who live in the
towns of Jericho and West Bolton. Residents of proper age from
Underhill can play Softball
Farm League:
Farm League is an introductory and instructional division. Each player
receives a hat and t-shirt. Games are played on Saturday morning, with
one practice during the week. There are 3 divisions based on age,
experience/ability. Coaches can advise which level is correct. Director
will set the teams such that the numbers, age, ability are balanced.
Farm league runs through June 20th.
Softball:
Softball will likely have 2 teams, one mostly ages 11&12 and the
other ages 8-10. 7 year olds can play softball with approval of the
Softball Director. Approval will depend on ability and number of
players. Softball teams play their games against other towns, various
days of the week, and various locations.
Baseball:
Baseball has 2 divisions (Major & Minor). Major games are generally
M/W/F, while minors are T/TH/SAT. Teams will be selected based on a
draft by the head coaches that will follow Baseball’s spring training
event. In general, Minors are for 9 and 10 year olds and Majors are
for 11and12 year olds. No 7 year olds will be allowed to play. 8 year
olds may be allowed to play in the Minors and 10 year olds allowed in
the Major division with the approval of the director of Baseball.
Eligibility is based on ability and space availability in the
appropriate division. These players must be present at the baseball
Spring Training event to be considered, or schedule a separate skill
evaluation prior to Spring Training.
Summer League:
Jericho has fielded a summer “fun” league baseball team for the past
several years. These are games against other towns, during the week in
July and early August. We will be doing this again if there is enough
interest from players and coaches.
All Star: (Tourney teams):
Jericho is part of D-3 in Vt. The towns of D-3 are eligible to field
various all-star teams. The best available players are selected from
the spring season teams to field these teams. Players must play in the
appropriate division based on age, not the division played in during
spring season. These teams participate in the D-3 tournaments until
they are eliminated. For the 11/12 year old teams, the tourney can
extend all the way to the regional and national level.
