Thursday, November 5 Conditioning Conditioning will start on Tuesday, November 10 and will on every Tuesday and Friday until try-outs start on February 15 (except during the holiday breaks). Conditioning will start at 3:00 PM and last until 4:30 PM. You will need to bring clothes and shoes to work out in. If you have not played a sport this year you will need a physical, $5.00 for athletic insurance, and your parents and you must have watched the JCPS Sports video and turn in the forms saying you have done so, before you are allowed to participate. Monday, November 2 Field Clean Up Day I would like to thanks everyone who showed up to help with the field clean up. We will do this again before the season starts in March. Thank you again. Tuesday, June 26 Congratulations Coach Driskell Congratulation Coach Driskell on being selected to coach the Kentucky All-Stars against the Tennessee All-Stars on June 30 in Murfreesboro, TN. Coaching with Coach Driskell will be Jackie McCloud (George Rogers Clark), J.W. Campbell (Middlesboro, retired), and Lynn Dickey (Heath). Good luck this weekend. Thursday, June 21 Softball Awards The Lady Chargers Softball team held their banquet on Thursday, June 21 and the following players received awards. Offense Award: Becca Jamieson Defense Award: Megan Payne Golden Arm Award: Haley Cade Most Improved Award: Kelsie Dearner Congratulations Ladies. Sunday, June 17 2 Lady Chargers Make Academic All-State Haley Kilgore and Megan Payne both made the Kentucky Softball Coaches Association All Academic First Team. This is open to Juniors and Seniors from member schools. Thursday, May 24 2 Lady Chargers Named to the 28th District Team Haley Kilgore and Megan Payne were named to the 28th District All-Tournament Team. Congratulations ladies. Sunday, June 18 2006 Softball Awards The following players received awards at the 2006 Lady Chargers Softball Banquet. 10th Person Award: Shelby Kilgore Most Improved Award: Porshia McClain Defense Award: Haley Cade Offense Award: Becca Jamieson Most Valuable Player Award: Leslie Lintelman Those players that did not make it to the banquet can pick up their awards, letters, or bars from Coach Driskell. Those players that still need to turn in their uniforms, bat bag, and helmet should contact Coach Driskell to do so. Also those players that have not turned in their spirit pack money should contact Coach Driskell to do so. |
