EQUIPMENT HANDOUT SCHEDULE

Equipment hand-out dates:

Wednesday, 7/16, from 6-9 pm:     Jr. Midget and Midget 

Saturday, 7/19, 8am-12pm:            Tiny & Mitey Mites

Wednesday, 7/23, 6-9 pm:             Jr. PeeWee and PeeWee

Saturday, 7/26, 8am-12pm:            Make-up for all divisions

If you cannot attend your assigned time, you may come at one of the others, but please make every effort to go at your assigned time.

All required paperwork must be turned in before we will issue equipment.  You will need to leave a $100 check (no cash please) for an equipment deposit which you will get back at the end of the season. You will receive a helmet and shoulder pads. You will need to purchase game and practice pants, a pad set to go in the pants, socks, cleats and a colored mouth piece (not clear). We will have these items for sale that day. We will provide a practice and game jersey. We will also be selling Mustang T-shirts, car decals, car flags, umbrellas, tatoos, etc. Show your Mustang Pride!

EQUIPMENT RE-USE PROGRAM

Kids grow quickly and many of us have equipment (shoes, pads, game and practice pants) in almost new condition. We are asking those of you with this type of equipment still in good condition to bring these items (cleaned and laundered) to the Equipment Room at JCP on Saturday, June 28 or Saturday, July 12 from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 noon for donation. The donated items will be made available during equipment handouts to those players that can put them to use this season. Equipment items may also be donated on the scheduled equipment handout dates and will be made available to players when practice begins August 1st. Please help by making the effort. Your donation will help another player in our Mustang family!

USA Football Coaching Clinic "click here for online course"
For the 2008 season, Pop Warner has mandated that all HEAD coaches must attend one of the USA Football Coaching Clinics, either online or in person at one of the regional sites. For more information on the coaching clinics, you can log on to www.usafootball.com. All head coaches who do not attend a clinic in person are required to complete the Level 1 certification of the online course.  Each head coach must have a Level 1 completion certificate by July 31, 2008. Only one parent from each football participant is required to view PAYS video.

To proceed with your child’s registration, you will need to enter your PAYS member ID which was emailed to you, but if lost can be re-attained by contacting PAYS via email at nays@nays.org or by calling NAYS Member Services at (561) 684-1141, during the hours of 8:30 to 4:30 M-F. Additionally, you may contact Linda Bostic, JTAA Administrator, anytime at jtaa@bellsouth.net.

2008 REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

In order to be able to pick up your equipment for football, you will need:

A)   Pop Warner Physical Form completed by a physician- (this is the ONLY acceptable physical form- school forms are    not acceptable)
B)   1 Wallet sized picture of face (no hats) - I only have a 2 x 2" space, do not send big pictures
C)   2 copies of final report card - front & back (must have all 3 semester/ 4 quarters) Final, as in last report card of this year. Do not send incomplete report cards.
D)   Copy of original birth certificate (with state seal visible)
E)    Copy of health insurance card - front & back
F)    $100 equipment deposit check - this will not be cashed and will be returned to you at the end of the season. Please bring this with you when you pick up the equipment. The check should be made out to JTAA Tackle Football

NO equipment will be issued unless you have submitted all of this information.

IMPORTANT: You will not have all of this info until you receive the final/last report card of the 2007-2008 school year, so please wait and send it all together.

TINY-MITES          Ages 6-7       35-75lbs

MITEY-MITES          Ages 7,8,9    45-90 lbs

JUNIOR PEE WEE    Ages 8,9,10    60-105 lbs.

General Information & Dates

The equipment hand-outs at JCP (Jupiter Community Park) Jr. Midget and Midget divisions will be Wednesday, 7/16 from 6-9 pm; Tiny & Mitey Mites, Saturday, 7/19, 8-12 AM; Jr. PeeWee and PeeWee, Wednesday, 7/23, 6-9 PM and Make-up for all divisions, Saturday, 7/26, 8-12 AM. If you can not attend your assigned time, you may come at one of the others, but please make every effort to go to your time. You will need to leave a $100 check (no cash please) for an equipment deposit which you will get back at the end of the season. You will receive a helmet and shoulder pads. Practices will start August 1st. We will practice Monday - Friday for the first 4 weeks from 6-8 PM (the first night starts at 5:30), then go down to 3 nights/week once the games start on 8/30. All practices are at JCP. The first week is conditioning and they will practice without pads. If new to the program, your child will be in the "draft pool" and will be evaluated by the coaches from that division. After that, there will be a 'draft' and he will be placed on a team.

We do travel - some games will be in Jupiter, but we play teams as far north as Port St. Lucie and out to Okeechobee.

Certification is on 8/16 at Jupiter Christian School. This is the official "weigh-in" where the player needs to be within their weight class. They will receive 1 addional pound each week at game day weigh-in after the first game.

The Jamboree is on 8/23 & 24 in Okeechobee. This is a chance for all the teams in the TCFC (Treasure Coast Football Conference) to meet and scrimmage.

The first game is on 8/30. The Playoffs begin on 10/25 and the TCFC finals are on 11/1. The quarter finals are on 11/8.

Registration late fee begins 7/1.
