Home of the Butler Jr. Bulldogs: Bulldog News: ABOUT THE BUTLER JUNIOR BULLDOGS

The Butler Jr. Bulldogs is a nonprofit organization offering both youth football and youth cheerleading. As a community, Butler has a long tradition of football excellence. The Junior Bulldogs have long been part of that tradition. 2009 will be our 48th year of being a leader in youth sports in our community.

Both football and cheering participants will learn more than just the fundamental skills of their sport. While the fundamentals needed to be successful will be taught to each individual, we hope each child comes away with some basic life skills also. We are committed that each child learns the values of being a good citizen. Ideals like Family, Education, Teamwork, Commitment, Preperation, Loyalty, and Discipline will be shared on an ongoing basis with your children. The children will learn that being part of a team, and having pride in oneself and respect in one's teammates will prove to be beneficial in both competition and in life.

The Board and the coaches are also committed to enhancing their own knowledge and skill level so we are better prepared to teach your children. The committment of our staff is always to work hard year round to further educate themselves. They attend clinics and camps, and continue to meet regularly with the BHS coaching staff to achieve this goal. All coaches also take a safety training class and some will be First Aid qualified.

The Junior Bulldogs are ready and committed to teaching and coaching the children. They will be taught the basic fundamentals to improve their athletic skill and help ensure their safety. We are committed to excellence in competition as well as involvement and enjoyment for every child. We want to be part of each child's quality of life.

Like any organization, the Jr. Bulldogs are only as strong as its members. A strong membership and therefore a strong program mean not only a great commitment from its players, coaches and executive board, but that same level of commitment from the parents. Volunteers, and the efforts of all involved is what makes us strong, and increased time and efforts from all its members is what it takes to keep the Jr. Bulldogs progressing and moving forward. We are an organization made up of people who teach, coach, love, and care. Be part of the organization, be part of the community, be a part of our children's life.
