Successful 2008 Volleyball Programs
Our Spring-Summer camp programs are now over. We thank all of you who have entrusted us with a role in the development of your daughter's volleyball skills. We also want to thank you for your feedback telling us of your positive experiences. It is our goal to help young volleyball players improve their skills so that they can play to their potential.
Camp summary: The Hitting Mechanics program corrected components, teaching proper technique. Our first Hitter's Club provided reinforcement of the components through repetition. Improvement was the norm with some players showing signficant improvement.
Those who attended our Setter & Defense camp learned proper setting and passing skills from Charlene Johnson-Tagaloa, a former Olympian who conducts High Performance camps for USA Volleyball. Charlene shared her experiences and what it takes to be the best you can be as a player.

“The SoloSpike helped my younger players develop confidence with their form and arm swing. The veteran players also use it to practice techniques of different attacks from different areas of the court. The SoloSpike is also great for developing serves such as the jump serve and the roundhouse. It gives the players the perfect ball placement so they can concentrate on their arm swing. This device definitely improved my players performance and confidence in the short time we used the machine. It is well-built and sturdy and will last for many years to come.”

| State of the art athlete tools & equipment |
|
- We integrate state of the art equipment such as the Aircat (pictured below) from Airborne Athletics and the SoloSpike LS2000 from Solosport Advanced Technologies into our program. These tools allow us to be very precise in the placement of the ball for improving passing, setting, spiking, tipping, digging, and blocking. Expert coaches agree that athlete improvement occurs most rapidly with a high level of repetition. The Aircat has received exclusive endorsements from USA Volleyball, Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP), Toshi Yoshida and Karch Kiraly (voted the top volleyball player of the 20th Century). The Solospike LS2000 is used by some of the top NCAA programs including USC and 2007 National champion University of Nebraska.
- Athlete progress is videotaped during training. Playback will be immediate via an on-site monitor. This enables us to achieve a high level of effectiveness in our approach to instruction and improvement. First the athlete's current skill set will be taped and reviewed. Technique improvement areas will be explained. Then a coach will work with the athlete to set improvement
goals. As instruction progresses, retaping will be done to assess and observe improvement, and to verify achievement of goals.
- We also have assisted several athletes as they went through the college recruiting process including the production of video to showcase their skills to college coaches.
| Modern, easily accessible training facility |
- We conduct our training at the East Side Youth Center in Allentown, PA. We have two separate gymnasiums, air conditioned for indoor use during the summer.
