Catherine "Cathy" Duval

Springfield - Catherine "Cathy" Duval, 59, died at home on May 25, 2012 after a long illness. Born in Canada to Cedrick and Bonita (Christie) Furlotte, she had been employed by the City of Springfield as a paraprofession at the High School of Commerce. Predeceased by her parents and mother-in-law, Gloria Duval, she leaves her loving husband Robert "Bob" Duval, Jr. and devoted children, Derrick Duval and his girlfriend Crystal Netherton and David Duval and his girlfriend Jennafer Dellagiustina of Springfield, MA; her father-in-law The Reverend Deacon Robert L. Duval of Ludlow, MA, siblings Blair Furlotte and his wife Karen, Connie Lewis and her husband Matthew, all of Canada and Deborah White and her partner David Spence of WV; her best friend, Linda Taylor and Robert Jimenez whom she regarded like a son. The funeral will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 8:15 AM from New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill St., Springfield, MA proceeding to Holy Name Church for a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM. Burial will be in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Visiting hours in the funeral center will be Wednesday, May 30, 2012 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM.
